Caring for your suit: the gestures that extend its life
Brushing, airing, hanging: a few simple gestures are enough to preserve a suit for years.
A quality suit is an investment. Well cared for, it will accompany you for many years.
Let it rest
Do not wear the same suit two days in a row. Wool fibres need twenty-four hours to recover their shape.
Brush rather than clean
Regular brushing with a horsehair brush removes dust and revives the fabric. Dry cleaning, which is too aggressive, should remain occasional.
Hang it properly
Use a wide hanger that follows the shape of the shoulders, and leave space between your garments in the wardrobe.
- Empty the pockets after each wear.
- Brush the jacket and trousers.
- Hang them in the open air for a few hours before putting them away.
